SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday school starts at 9:30am before service. Here at Ziona Hou Church we offer classes for all ages. See below for more information.
KIDSLIFE & CROSSWALK
Preschool - 6th Grade
Our children's class is designed for kids aged 3-12 years old. Led by Miss Lela Filimona and Miss Yvette Aikala, our beginner class takes place in our outdoor classrooms next door to our Junior class. Currently, our young learners are reading Matthew 5 and exploring the concept of the beatitudes. Our primary goal is to guide them through the life of Jesus, helping them understand his teachings and values. In addition to studying scripture, our children enjoy engaging in games, activities, singing praise and worship songs, and starting each class with prayer.
7th - 12 Grade
TEENS
At our teen class is designed for kids ages 13-17 years old. Currently led by our Co-Pastor Shan Foster, we focus on teaching the youth about salvation, based on Galatians 2:20. Our main lesson revolves around introducing them to the new foundation they have in Christ and helping them understand the importance of having a spiritual foundation in Jesus. We discuss topics like justification, sanctification and relate them to the challenges teens face in the world today. Through memory verses, exhortations, praise and worship, and engaging activities, we strive to equip them with a strong understanding of their salvation in Christ.
NEW FOUNDATION
Adults 18+
The New Convert Class is one of 2 adult classes we offer here at Ziona Hou. This class a 3-4 month course designed for adults to deepen their understanding of God's principles through the Word of God, ultimately helping them establish a strong foundation in Jesus Christ. Led by Elder Charles and Deacon Kavassi in our outside classroom, students are provided with a study book containing insightful lessons from the Bible, organized by key topics. Our leaders dive into each scripture to ensure students gain a thorough comprehension. Additionally, students are encouraged to memorize all the books of the Bible and a memory verse for each lesson/topic. Ages 18+
ADULTS
Our adult class meets in the sanctuary and is currently led by Minister Ikaika Aikala. Our lesson is based in 1 Corinthians where we are learning about the office of Paul and the issues that are happening in the church today. We focus on tackling these issues by understanding what they are and how the Word of God can help us overcome these issues. In this class, we dive into the Word of God to not only bring clarity to the scriptures, but to also understand God's plan for us through His Word.
